"Chenelle and Taylor were living in Ohio when they got engaged, and right from the start they dreamed of an Orange County wedding for their friends and family to enjoy. Taylor grew up in California and loved the idea of tying the knot in the same state where he was raised. Chenelle was excited at the thought of year-round warm weather and a weekend of fun for their wedding celebration.
The couple fell in love with The Villa in San Juan Capistrano for their wedding venue. So much character and natural beauty, not much was needed to dress up the space. The perfect intimate size venue for their 120 guests, most of which were attending from another state. The couple also loved the city that surrounded The Villa, and knew instantly that they wanted to take photos at the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano. So Romantic!
The bride envisioned the courtyard warmed with candlelight, with lots of green garlands with accents of blush and ivory blooms on the tables. Personalized signage, vintage colored glassware and photos of the couple were sweet touches to the design, and the vintage chandelier that hung behind the head table was the perfect finishing touch to frame the couple as they enjoyed speeches and dinner surrounded by their bridal party. The dessert table, signature cocktails and the custom surfboard guest book were all a hit with the guests who danced the night away under the twinkle lights and draping trees covering the courtyard space at the venue.
The couple spent the day after the wedding swimming, drinking and enjoying their family and friends at a private pool party that was planned to cap off the epic wedding weekend. They toasted to the grooms new job, which would move them from Ohio to Newport Beach, CA. After such a beautiful weekend in SoCal, it would've been hard to leave and start married life in another state! Now the couple spends weekends on the beach soaking up the California sun as husband and wife!" -Engaged Events
