"We wanted a very subtle vintage look. Pinterest was a definite starting point for inspiration. The final look came down to a style of dress that Jared always loved on Nicole, and Jared's outfit started with a hat that Nicole always loved when he wore it. We both are very simple people and kept the prop portion to a minimum. Jared used a pocket watch to add to his out fit, and Nicole just wore simple black shoes with bows. We picked The Mission San Juan Capistrano and the surrounding city because of the look and feel of the city. We both fell in love with the red brick all over the city :)." -Jared & Nicole
Their love story: We both met working at Disneyland together. Jared one day was working the Finding Nemo ride and Nicole was working the Monorails. Jared was having a bad day and needed to get away for a moment. He noticed Nicole and decided to walk over and introduce himself. They talked and laughed. This started a very good friendship between the two. 6 years later, timing was right and being together only seemed natural.
The proposal: This day was meant to be an early surprise for Jared's birthday. Nicole had gotten them tickets to see the band Mumford and Sons in concert on June 2, 2013. Little did Nicole know that Jared was planning on surprising her with the same exact tickets and proposing to her there. When one day he asked her to save the date of June 2, Nicole said that they couldn't do anything that day because she had a surprise for him already planned. Jared put the pieces together and knew what his surprise was. On the day of the concert, Nicole surprised Jared before the concert (of course he ACTED surprised). Jared waited for the perfect moment. That moment was when their song "I Will Wait" started playing. When the lyrics, "I'll be bold as well as strong, and use my head alongside my heart" were sung, Jared got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Nicole planned on surprising Jared, but Jared ended up surprising her in the end.
