"One of the first vendors we booked was our wedding planner, Danielle with Classically Lovely Events. While I had lots of ideas, it was amazing to have someone help me along the way. It was also nice that going into the month of our wedding, our planner already knew our vision and was there to make sure everything went smoothly. Continental Catering catered our dinner reception in buffet stations. These were a hit and I loved the fact that our guests could choose any or all three of the of stations. Kasia from Plenty of Petals did an absolutely stunning job with our flower arrangements. From the boutonnieres, to the centerpieces to my amazing bouquet - she really created pieces that made our wedding colors come to life. Mobile Photo Booth helped to achieve our vintage feel with their authentic photo booth. Brianna Venzke Photography and Crisp Videography captured our wedding and both of their work is great. You can immediately tell that they are both passionate about t heir work and I'm greatly looking forward to receiving our finished products. It was also fun to have our engagement photos with Brianna, she definitely goes the extra mile with her clients prior to your big day. Our entertainment was handled by DJ Eric Starr and he made sure our night was on track. And finally our gorgeous cake was made by my dear friend Miso, from Miso Bakes. Her handmade flowers are so life-like and our flavor of banana cake and espresso buttercream was a definite hit with our guests.
From the our ceremony filled with cultural traditions, to the unique Air & Space Museum set in the beautiful Balboa Park, to the delicious food, and the exciting sparklers we felt as though our wedding was exactly as we envisioned. And the best part? I married the man of my dreams, who is my first love, and my best friend." -bride & groom

From the bride & groom: "Stephen and I met and became friends in Mt. Carmel High School in San Diego, CA and then we started dating each other in college. After seven and a half years of dating and growing into best friends, Stephen proposed. He took me to the end of a pier and surprised me by having both our parents and brothers present when he proposed. When he proposed, the ring was actually attached to a string that was tied to his belt loop, just to ensure it wouldn't fall on the pier!
For our ceremony, we were married at St. Charles Borromeo Parish and incorporated Mexican and Filipino traditions. For our reception we chose the San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park. Stephen is an Aerospace Engineer and so when I suggested this venue he quickly approved the idea. We wanted our big day to be filled with family and fun. We loved that our venue gave our guests the opportunity to mingle and explore.
The Air & Space Museum has a huge pavilion in the center where we had our reception. Even with all the planes in the pavilion I really wanted to create a warm atmosphere. We went for a vintage travel theme to incorporate the planes and because we both love to travel. Our caterer helped with our theme by decorating their buffet stations with planes and luggage. Our tables were filled with colors of coral, turquoise and neutrals. On the tables we placed lanterns adorned with flowers, as well as coral floral arrangements in wooden boxes. It was also important to me that the wedding included personal details. On every table was a photo of Stephen and I in a city we had traveled to and throughout the space there were also bulletin boards of photos of Stephen and I from the 8 years of dating. In addition to this, our wedding was on July 5th so we thought it would be fitting to have sparklers. That was a lot of fun!"
