"I have wanted to do a beautiful styled shoot in a dense forest for a very long time. I often thought I would never get the chance unless I visited Northern California or a different state entirely. I realized that there is a little gem that is often visited by residents all over the counties of Orange, Los Angeles, and San Diego - Big Bear! It is hard to believe these photos were captured just ninety minutes from the plethora of brake lights in downtown LA.
Once we started heading up the mountain, we knew we could hop out of the car anywhere and there would be a wonderful place to set up a romantic, bridal scene to photograph. So, that's exactly what we did!
I wanted the shoot to be very minimalistic and focus on the connection between the bride and the groom. I thought that the pastel colors would pair nicely with the backdrop of the mountain forest during the golden hour.
