"Putting together this shoot was a labor of love. Myself and the whole team involved managed to put the whole thing together in a matter of 2 and a half short weeks and I couldn't be more proud of what we created. Under the threat of rain and having three previous couples cancel on us, we still managed to pull off, what in my opinion, is a gorgeous shoot! My vision for this shoot was to have simple, elegant and airy feel while using a color scheme of blue, gold and creme. I didn't want a whole lot of details for the shoot, but the ones we did have, I wanted to be gorgeous! The olive tree covering at Seredipity's added to the ambiance of the day. Lindsey from Circle Your Date was great with helping me find vendors and keeping me sane during the shoot. Magnolia Floral's totally killed it! I'm not the best at explaining the ideas in my head but she totally nailed it with the bouquet and stunning centerpiece. Laura Marie's blew my away when she showed up with the cake. It was PERFECT! I was really excited to work with Ferndales Bridal as they have some beautiful gowns and I chose and light and airy Watters Wtoo gown for the day. After getting home with the dress the day before the shoot I was thinking I may want another look for the bride so I also brought along my own wedding dress, which also happened to be a Watters Wtoo gown. Mine is the one with the couple under the oak trees and I was pretty surprised at how well it photographed!" -Stephanie Ponce Photography
About the shoot: The headpiece provided by Cheri Elizabeth was exactly the simple elegance I was wanting on the bride, just beautiful and understated. Desperately Seeking Sueann and Sandra Michelle Artistry really nailed it when I said I wanted the bride to have a natural and simple beauty and to just enhance her already stunning features. Out of the Dust provided some gorgeous rentals for the day and the decor really brought everything together. The Paper Mint Press designed beautiful invites with gorgeous calligraphy while the Duo Studio created some beautiful hand painted ‘bride & groom’ wood signs for the backs of the sweetheart chairs. Dani & Lui came to my rescue to be my models and they couldn’t have been more perfect! Like I mentioned earlier, I had three previous couples cancel on me and with only 6 days till the shoot I was totally freaking out. It was a Godsend that they happened to be off of work that day and were more than happy to get in front of my camera! I am really proud of what we put together in such a short time frame. Thank you to the entire team for all of your help and for providing your amazing talents! I couldn’t have done it without you!
