"Wedding planning for us was both so much fun and hectic! We felt so much love by how much everyone wanted to help. We are the first of our friends to get married so had no idea where to start. The first thing I did was hire Jackie our wedding coordinator and felt so relieved when she started laying everything out for us. I am a total do it yourselfer but when it came to choosing the processional order I was lost! We actually only looked at two venues and when we both saw McCormick Ranch we cancelled all of our other appointments. It felt so perfect and laid back we just knew that we had to have our wedding there(The fact she allows dogs didn't hurt either)
As far as choosing colors and styles I was a little torn, David liked yellows and I really like pinks and whites. I had pinned so many pins on Pinterest I could have planned 5 weddings. I actually didn't even officially choose my colors until I picked my dress. Once I picked my dress it just all fell into place. We made our save the dates, invitations and even thank you cards which we designed and then printed out the cards at a local print shop. My mom and I ended up making all of our own décor for the wedding from the easels to the cupcake stand to the centerpieces. We had so many brides calling after the wedding to buy stuff from us that we opened up an Etsy store.
A couple of my favorite moments would be: The entire day I was running around excited and all of a sudden I was in my dress getting ready to walk down the aisle. It was like I had magically appeared and was so scared! I was completely shaking and my dad had to ask me if I was okay. I was so busy I forgot to even freak out before the wedding. It all got better when I took David's hands at the end of the aisle.
I asked David what his favorite part was and he said, "The part when you said I do" awwww! (I picked a winner)." -bride & groom
