There is nothing more beautifully intoxicating than two people in love. It is the tenderness of that love that drew me to the dreamy idea of a romantic elopement. That allure was the inspiration behind this styled garden elopement shoot that took place on the private estates of Tres Lagos in Murrieta, California. Driving up the winding, quiet roads that lead up the residence, one cannot help but feel lost in the rolling hills of wine country in Italy. Tres Lagos offers a sense of peace and remote serenity that makes you feel lost in another world and distant from the hustle and bustle of the modern world.
Our vision for the styled elopement was inspired by soft, airy whites, gold tones, and pops of pinks and blues to match the whimsical secret garden essence of the venue. Our florist, Sara, lovingly crafted a bouquet and canoe piece filled with hydrangeas, dusty pink rose, lamb's ear, seeded eucalyptus, pink spray roses and carnations, blue scabies, and light blue delphinium to fulfill the dreamy and timeless look we were aiming to capture. Our cake artist, Melissa, created a simple and charming ruffled two-tier cake and our hair and makeup artist, Sandra, glammed up our stunning bride with vibrant red lipstick and both loose waves and an elegant bun. The romantic elopement was tied together with a stunning lace dress from Elyse Reuben Custom Couture and dapper tan tux from Friar Tux and all the details came together seamlessly with the help of our coordinator, Kelly. As the videographer and photographer, Lianna and I aimed to capture the true loving spirit of the couple and found ourselves smiling at the authentic happiness and joy our real-life couple Stacey and Aaron share.
Within the venue, lush greens surround a quiet pond that has grand views of the surrounding countryside hills and a beautifully garnished canoe allows for an intimate escape. A gorgeous cream-colored gazebo seemingly floats on a second pond and practically begs for a comfortable reclining seat for lovebirds to cuddle up and whisper sweet nothings to each other. It doesn’t get more enchanting than that! -Christine Skari Photography
