"Matt and Tara met throughout the powers of Cyberspace on eHarmony. Their first date took place on April 1st and they have not stopped laughing and joking ever since. They had so many things in common. One was they both are in the wedding industry. Matt has a wedding DJ company, Tara has a wedding hair & makeup company. When it came time for Matt to propose. He knew it had to be at Tara's favorite place, Disneyland! He took her there after finishing a Disney wedding themselves and proposed to her in front of the castle. With two people in the industry they wanted something different. Tara is all about the Fairytale. So what would be more perfect than to get married at a castle? They came across Lobo Castle in Agoura. The place was perfect. Matt and Tara already had all their vendors and had a lot of creative ideas that they were able to achieve at the castle.
Come the day of the wedding Tara and Matt opted to not have a wedding party. Their daughter was the Maid of Honor and Matts nieces were the flower girls. The girls all got ready up in the master suite of the castle, While Matt got ready downstairs. Matt and Tara did not see each other before the wedding, but they did do a blind gift exchange before. Guests were shuttled to the castle and greeted to refreshments and Disney tunes. Matt and Tara wrote their own vows which the read out of Fairytale Story books. Matt even had vows for their daughter, Catalina. After they were pronounced husband and wife, each guest shot off a silver confetti cannon.
Guests then went up to the cocktail hour to enjoy drinks by the wishing well and have their Silhouette made, just like at Disneyland! After then they were escorted to the back where there was a long table the 50 guests sat at. They also watched Matt & Tara's Fairytale First Dance. This is a unique feature where they hear the story in the couples own words within their first dance song. Following dinner there was toasts followed by dancing. Matt and Tara are big Michael Jackson fans. So their wedding would not be complete without a Michael Jackson performance full of dance moves and costume changes. Just when the guests thought the night was over, they were taken back down to the cocktail hour area where there now was a casino set up. There was blackjack, craps tables as well as photo booth and chocolate fountain.
It was a fairytale wedding come true, no stone left unturned." -Tara Fontana
