This styled shoot tells the story of the long lost treasures found at sea. We were inspired by all the treasures the ocean collects, and we found a way to bring them back to life, under the sunrise light. There’s something special about the sunrise. It’s as if the morning is there to usher in a new light over things we thought were lost to us. The menus and invitation suite, wrapped in it’s leather journal, were hand weathered and frayed as any love letter lost to sea may have been. The cake and macarons had whirlwind colors that capture the turbulent waters of the night. It’s almost as if they had washed up on shore with the vintage trunks! Despite the delicious desserts, it’s the sea that made the shrimp and sea salt caramels the tastiest treats of the day. The opulent color of the ocean was captured in the custom handmade linens, while the flowers reflected the colors of the morning sunrise. Rose gold flatware and copper tumblers, with flecks of teal, reflect the color of rust that shipwrecked treasures collect from being underwater for too long. However, the true treasures were the telescope chest which housed pirate’s coins and the compass that points to the heart’s deepest desires! It was this telescope the bride used to search for her groom, just so she could say, “you are what the sea brought back to me.” -Debby Boh Events
