We wanted to create a day that inspired brides to have a pre-wedding photo session for just themselves: getting ready + celebratory portraits. A day to celebrate and honor all that you are as an individual woman — a woman about to adventure into one of the most beautiful unions of life: marriage. A personal, vulnerable day where a bride-to-be gets to choose how she wants to depict herself to the world.
Her "getting ready" time includes sipping some tea from bed & hanging in her all-white room while getting her hair and makeup done. It's so important to incorporate down-time for yourself, not only on your wedding day, but on a day to day basis! To really enjoy getting to spend quality time with your own self - and when bright, big-windowed rooms are added, it becomes the best photographing place to do it. Incorporating a bride-only session into your schedule before your big day allows for the bride to get showered with fun, celebratory moments where she can express herself in so many ways, including style-wise: choosing a whole different outfit that she loves besides her future wedding look! For the bridal portraits, we created a contemporary fairytale. A gorgeous tulle skirt paired with a soft white tee gives the look just the right modern + whimsically timeless taste. This look goes to show you that you can truly get creative with your style before your big day.
Blissful Blossoms did a beautiful job creating the etherial bouquet & table piece, and Scout Rental Co. had the perfect tufted velvet lounge couch. Props are always a good idea to add to the pre-wedding bridal session, & allow for even more expressive creativity. Gorgeous makeup done by Makeup Amanda & hair done by Theisen Hair! & with two gorgeous locations, it was a beautiful day to adventure + create, in aims to celebrate the bride and all that she is before her big day. -Natalie Schutt Photography
