"Kelly + Michael wanted to showcase their hometown to a vast guest list that included family + friends from all over the country - so they picked Studio 1342, a venue less than 4 blocks from their house!
Many of the speeches during their wedding outlined how they had met: at a 'Friendsgiving' celebration thrown by Michael's neighbors, he saw her across the room and asked friends, "Who is that girl?". After making only a small connection that day, Michael enlisted the help of gal pal Alison to join him in visiting Kelly's then workplace ('The Bazaar' Restaurant in Beverly Hills) not once, not twice, but three times until she was finally working. With that kind of persistence, how could a girl not take notice, right? Kelly, the bride, says: "My favorite memory was of laughing so much during our ceremony!! Our close friend was the officiant and he put so much humor and thought into the entire process and we were blown away by all of it. It was the perfect mixture of funny and heartwarming - we have so many great candid pics of our wedding party cracking up and those mean the world to me."

You might recognize that 'close friend' she refers to: actor/director Jonathan Silverman. He began the ceremony saying that he had officiated five weddings, and had since 'retired', but this was the one couple that he would come out of retirement for. He kept most of the ceremony details a secret, and surprised the couple with over 10 wedding traditions and rituals from their various heritages, encompassing everything from a Navajo wedding blanket ceremony to a Greek tradition involving the throwing of a shoe.
For their wedding decor, Kelly really wanted to incorporate a vintage celestial vibe, mixed with fun jewel-toned florals, some rustic accents and the couples love of all things food. We were able to suggest loose floral groupings, in mercury-like jars for that special twinkle, along with a base of cookbooks and wood cutting boards, to blend her wanted styles together, and the result was magical! -Harmony Creative
