"Bikers are known for roaming long deserted roads alone, but what happens when they want to marry, and the bride is a California golden girl? This elopement inspiration shoot captures that bold dynamic. We brought the biker and his bride to the beach, and combined his love of the bike with her love of the beach.
Not all brides dream of being married in big or beaded dresses, and we wanted to show that it’s still possible to be a bridal beauty without a ball gown! Our bride wore a Morgan Stewart and Badgley Mischa inspired two-piece, crop top wedding outfit, by L’Atiste, which was perfect for riding behind her man. The groom wore his leather riding jacket, suspenders, and a Ted Baker bowtie, and wayfarers to complete his look.
We wanted to bring in that natural California beach girl look in both hair and makeup, while still keeping with a biker girl look. Brittany Schultz focused on giving our bride a bold, red lip, dusted with glitter, and lightly lined eyes, while Brittany Richino, of MN8 Salon & Spa, gave her the perfect beach waves. The hairpiece by Petals and Stones was the perfect bridal touch to complete her look.
There are few times that bikers allow their motorcycles to be decorated with anything other than leather and studs, but our Harley Davidson was wrapped in a floral dream! Revel Petals even used flowers from her own California garden to add that special touch to all the floral arrangements. She wrapped the bouquet in a tan leather to bring it back to the biker’s love of leather. And instead of his usual club pins, our biker had a chance to pin a boutonniere to his leather jacket.
This elopement shoot is a great way to show anyone planning their wedding that no matter how different your and your fiancĂ©’s tastes may be, there is a way to combine them! It’s all about finding ways to connect your passions and styles, be it through color, dress, or location. Because at the end of the day, it’s really all about celebrating the love you have for each other, with each other!" -Debby Boh Events
