"Our styled bridal shoot took place in the rolling mountains near Tejon Ranch in Central California. Nestled off the Grapevine we found a spectacular location filled with towering Oak trees. Our vision was to capture the feeling of love that encases the month of February. We wanted to reinterpret Valentine’s Day and bring back the idea of romantic courtship. We were drawn to soft and subtle romantic shades of blush pinks, deep reds, Marsala tones, creams and nudes. The romantic bridal portraits elicit the feeling you get when you are in the presence of your love. On Valentine’s Day we exchange cards and gifts with the love in our lives. This idea stems from the Middle Ages when poetry and love letters were used by knights to show a loved one how much you cared for them while away during battle. We elicited this feeling of courtship with our invitation suite and hand painted menu on rose and gold plates. Antique china and glasses along with our vintage books of poetry and love stories tied in the lost art of calligraphy and the simple beauty of a hand written love note." -Rebecca Yale Photography |
