"As a photographer, when a couple tells you they want to travel four hours to the most dreamy location to be photographed, you cant help but want to cry (...with excitement of course)! This sense of adventure perfectly defines Sal and Livvi's relationship. They are always looking for a good time filled with laughter and incredible stories. Those words definitely described our journey to Glamis - everything from getting lost (because our GPS stopped working ... thanks, Sprint) to almost running out of gas in the middle of nowhere! Believe me, laugh, was ALL we did this day!
When we finally arrived to the Algodones Dunes we were in complete awe. It felt as if we were in another world. Words cannot adequately describe how beautiful this location was and what a thrill it was to capture their love in this remarkable scenery.
Because we photographed on a holiday, the dunes were flooded with hundreds of people and four wheelers. Thankfully, after searching for the perfect spot, we were able to find a somewhat secluded area. We love bringing along our boombox to relax the couple and really architect a movie-like romance. Boy, did this do the trick! As soon as we played Livvi's playlist, it was as if we were just sitting in their living room peeking in on their everyday subtle sweetness. Sal and Livvi's inspirations were nothing less than intimate and romantic - That was our photographic goal, and I think we hit it dead on!
When it was all said and done, we dodged quads, shielded sand, and definitely got in our leg day, but it was an experience none of us will ever forget! A huge thanks to this amazing couple for their inspiration, infectious spirits, and more than anything - their love!"
