"On the spacious property of Rancho Las Lomas located in Silverado Canyon surrounded by tiny bungalows, zoological garden, Sycamore, and Oak trees was the site of Mr. and Mrs. Ryan and Julia Kilpatrick's wedding June 9, 2018. Typically weddings have a just a few or some elements regarding entertainment, refreshment, food, and decor but what makes this wedding unique is that all the elements you could possibly dream of were represented and worked together to make up an elegant, luxurious yet modern wedding -- with an emphasis on the color Rosé.
As the bridal party prepared for the big day early that morning, they arrived to a brunch hosted by the groom's family members complete with a continental breakfast, makeup artist and of course, mimosas. 180 Guest arrived to live music and they were greeted the by two Gold and Glass shelving’s that were adorned with flowers, pictures, programs, and magenta & white petals to throw. The bride and groom exchanged their vow in the Gazebo that was decorated with a pink, rosé, and white flower arch, draping and even a chandelier! During cocktail hour the guests ate appetizers and drank signature cocktails. White and gold lounge chairs were brought in for their comfort and placed around the activities to enjoy as spectators.
The reception was up next, guests were greeted with a champagne escort complete with etched drink stirrers personalized to each guest that was located on 2 Gold and Glass shelves and cart. Once again the gold shelving’s were filled but this time with a candy bar!" -from the wedding planner

What was your favorite part of wedding planning? What was the most stressful part of wedding planning?
The best part of wedding planning is the opportunities you get to have with both families and friends to engage in the process with you. We had so much support and are so grateful for that. Each part of wedding planning felt like an event. Though tiring, it was so worth it! We both were in our first year of law school while planning our wedding. Between the demands of 1L, our wedding to-do list, and pre-wedding events it definitely was stressful balancing it all!
Memories and stories about the day you would like to share:
Our wedding was such a dream! There were so many little moments that I loved so much but my personal favorite would have to be our afterparty! My now husband is a musician and has been apart of the Southern California based band, Island Apollo for the last ten years. Because his music and involvement in the band has been a huge part of our ten year relationship, we HAD to have the band play at our wedding! Our favorite memory was when the band played for our family and friends during the afterparty in the Grand Salon. Ryan got on the mic and sang his heart out as we all danced and sang along!
Any words of wisdom you'd like to share for brides currently planning their wedding? Is there anything you would have done differently?
Remembering that your day should reflect everything that you and your significant other want. Because there is now so much access to wedding content and inspo, it can be overwhelming and sometimes discouraging. Remaining centered and focused on your own vision is essential to the wedding planning process. The only thing I would have done differently was making sure all of our gorgeous flowers made it home with us! We spent our wedding night in our honeymoon hotel and then took off to our honeymoon the next day so we weren't able to fill our home with our amazing centerpieces!
How and where did you find your wedding vendors?
We primarily used wedding blogs such as Southern California Bride and the Knot to find our wedding vendors! We also attended the Knot's Bridal Show at the Montage Beverly Hills!
How did you choose your wedding venue?
We're both Orange County natives and wanted a venue to reflect our relaxed California lifestyle. We were looking for a private, ethereal, romantic setting. Rancho Las Lomas was our dream venue as it was absolutely fitting! The venue is a private estate situated on acres of beautifully landscaped grounds complete with zebras and tigers! Once we toured the venue, we could not have imagined getting married elsewhere.
