"This wedding is a personal favorite of mine from the year. I first met this couple the year prior at their friend's destination wedding in Italy and had the privilege of photographing their proposal, engagement, and finally, their wedding day. They worked with the incredible Kelsey Events to plan and design their wedding day. Their wedding invitations had a custom monogram designed for the couple and the suite was a combination of classic white and burgundy tones, colors that could be seen throughout the wedding day. The bridesmaids all donned burgundy, floor-length dresses while the guys donned classic black tuxedos.
Melissa's bouquet incorporated peonies, roses, and dahlias, all of which fit in with the day's color scheme. Michael and Melissa had an intimate first look on the property's main lawn followed by wedding party photos. Guests soon arrived and were greeted with a sign-in table with stairs leading down to the ceremony site. Hundreds of blush rose petals covered aisle and gold-backed chairs lined the sides. The gazebo was adorned with lush greenery and decorated with more roses, peonies, and dahlias. Melissa's father and mother walked her down the aisle to meet Michael, who was smiling from ear to ear to see her. Following the ceremony, Michael and Melissa recessed back down the aisle while guests showered them with rose petals in congratulations.
After cocktail hour, guests were ushered indoors to the reception which was transformed magnificently into where everyone would celebrate the night away. The room was ivory and blush with tall, long-stemmed vases on every table. Tea light candles lit the dining area and golden silverware and chargers lined the tables. La Tavola Linen provided the most beautiful blush velvet napkins and Amber Event Production provided lighting for the evening. During Michael and Melissa's first dance, they had a firework show at the end. Guests danced the night away and enjoyed sweet treats and cocktails throughout the night." - Alex W Photography
